INCIDENT: PC 29800(a)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 368(b)(1) Elder Abuse
LOCATION: 7400 block of La Honda Way, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Jesse Jimenez, 41-year-old, male resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 67-year-old, male resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at approximately 8:00 a.m., deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station responded to reports of an elderly male who was assaulted, in the 7400 block of La Honda Way, in Yucca Valley. During the investigation, deputies identified and located the suspect, Jesse Jimenez, at a residence in the 7400 block of La Honda Way. Jimenez was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives served a search warrant at the residence. During the search, a loaded-unserialized semi-automatic handgun, commonly referred to as a “ghost gun,” was located. Jimenez was found to be a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms. Jimenez was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, for PC 29800(a) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 368(b)(1) Elder Abuse, and an active warrant with the bails totaling $85,000.
