INCIDENT: Missing Juvenile
LOCATION: 6600 Block of Sahara Avenue, Twentynine Palms, CA
SUMMARY: On March 5, 2023 at approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 6600 block Sahara Avenue in Twentynine Palms reference a missing juvenile. The eight-year-old juvenile, chased after an escaped family pet. The juvenile was followed by her brother who could not keep up with her. The juvenile’s brother lost sight of her and told his family the juvenile chased after the dog.
While family was looking for the missing juvenile, the dog returned to the residence without her. Deputies, with the aid of Sheriff’s Aviation and a Sheriff”s K-9, searched for the juvenile. The missing juvenile was located hiding in the shed of a nearby property. The juvenile was unharmed and returned to her family.
