INCIDENT: Penal Code- 288(a) Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor

SUSPECT(S): Daniel Proctor, 22-year-old male resident of Yucca Valley

SUMMARY: On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station initiated an investigation after learning of an alleged sexual assault of a minor. The incident was reported to have occurred sometime during 2020 at a residence on Cibola Trail, in Yucca Valley. During the investigation, deputies discovered the victim, who was 12-years-old at the time of the incident, was sexually assaulted by Daniel Proctor. Deputies were able to substantiate the claims and secured an arrest warrant for Proctor.
On Wednesday, September 28, 2020, at 12:41 p.m., detectives served a search warrant at the incident location. Proctor was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin jail for PC 288(a)- Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor, with bail set at $250,000.
