Reach Out Morongo Basin held its Wild, Wild West Hoedown held October 14, 2022 to kick off Pioneer Days weekend at the historic Tower Homestead Guest Ranch. The sold-out event raised over $2800 raised to provide services for seniors and the disabled. With live music, line dancing,  food and a cash bar the crowd partied into the night. Musical entertainment by the Cassandra Long Band was a crowd favorite and they kept the dance floor hopping into the night with their lively country and mix of music.

Old Timer of the Year, David Smith, was recognized and introduced by longtime friend, Thurmon Carson, as the crowd listened to stories of being raised during the early days of Twentynine Palms at the historic Smith’s Ranch.

Dinner was chopped brisket and pulled pork with potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and a roll. The Lady Luck Silent Auction featured various gift baskets and donated items from The Lobby at Desert Beacon and ArtFx and Furnishings.

Organizers want to give a special shout out to our sponsors The Tower Homestead/Cowboy Attic, Ace Desert Hardware, 29 Fitness and Christy Cuellar – independent insurance agent.
