SUMMARY:
Between Thursday, September 1, 2022, and Tuesday, September 6, 2022, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Morongo Basin Station responded to five separate calls for reports of vandalism. The suspect vandalized business windows and vehicles at the locations, causing approximately $12,000 in damage.
On Friday, September 9, 2022, deputies received information on the possible suspect responsible for the vandalism. Deputies responded to the Park and Ride located at 7484 Kickapoo Trail, in Yucca Valley, contacted Edy Morales and took him into custody without incident.
Morales was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for PC 594(a) – Felony Vandalism and four active warrants for his arrest, totaling $1,125,000.
