Yucca Valley, Ca.- James Ramos, candidate for 3rd District Supervisor and his campaign manager, Betsy Starbuck, met with me for a bi-partisan lunch at the Rib Co. restaurant to discuss bi-partisan issues of the Morongo Basin and the 3rd District. It was a very lively and informative meeting as we discussed common goals and unemployment problems in the San Bernardino County.  Ramos feels education is the key to prepare citizens with new job skills when the economy bounces back.  Unemployment does not have a (D) or (R) next to...

Yucca Valley, Cal.-What was the process for the JPA, Joint Powers Authority-San Bernardino Co. & Yucca Valley, to select an architect to build a state-of-the-art Yucca Valley animal shelter facility? This post will cover the selection of Williams Architect from six firms with their proposals and “sealed bids.” (But not really bidding on the project…..it is called a RFP, request for proposal).  It was thought that Williams forgot to leave...

Nauimi’s “City Release Fees” undercut by Brown

Brown signs bill to reduce checkpoint impounds “The city of Escondido received as much as $400,000 a year from the tow firms with which it has contracts, according to finance records…. AB 353 gives unlicensed motorists time to find a legal driver and avoid impound.” Commentary Note: Is Nauimi really your guy?
