On Saturday January 22, 2011, at about 10:00 PM, an officer from the Coachella Police Department was driving in a marked unit equipped with an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) near Grapefruit Blvd. and Avenue 52. On Friday, January 21, 2011 about 3:08 PM, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to the 16400 block of Dow Street, Moreno Valley, in reference to a 911 call for a “check the welfare.” A female caller reported that her elderly mother was unintelligible on the telephone and could be suffering from a stroke. On January 20, 2011, at approximately 12:52 p.m. officers from the Wildomar Police Department were dispatched to assist Animal Friends of the Valley with a runaway cow. Officers arrived and immediately blocked off Bundy Canyon Road since the animal had already jumped the fence into traffic prior to the officers’ arrival. On 01-20-2011 Officers from the San Jacinto Police Department were dispatched to the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery in the 2500 Block of South Santa Fe Avenue in San Jacinto regarding a vandalism that had just occurred. Officers arrived and were told nine headstones had been knocked over and damaged. Another headstone, dating from 1888 was destroyed. The total damage to the cemetery was over $1000.00. HEMET, CA- During the end of the year, 2010, the Hemet and San Jacinto Sheriff Stations received several reports of robberies involving masked males targeting elderly females at their residences. Through the investigations it was revealed that prior to being assaulted, the victims had received money from the Chase Bank located at 1800 East Florida Avenue, Hemet. Around 7:05 PM on 01/05/10, Redlands Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired and victims down in the area of Oxford Drive and Post Street north of Colton Avenue. The shooting occurred in a common area near several apartment buildings on Oxford Drive. The victims were located nearby on Oxford and Post.
