YUCCA VALLEY – I walked around the historic Yucca Valley Blue Skies Golf Course today in the rain. I took these pictures, without trespass to property, which in a nutshell are images of a damp and dreary graveyard with its future foretold by fortunetellers or soothsayers. Yucca Valley, Ca– The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, has recently received an unusually high volume of calls regarding trespassing and subjects cutting down trees / collecting firewood from the grounds of the former Blue Skies Country Club. In response to these calls, and with concerns that falling trees, downed trees or debris on the grounds could endanger public safety, the Town of Yucca Valley Code Compliance Division has declared all property belonging to the former Blue Skies Country Club a Public Nuisance and Hazardous Area....

On Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. Arthur Gorian, 21 and a 71 year old male, both of Joshua Tree were involved in a minor traffic collision near State Route 62 and Sunset. Following the collision, both drivers pulled their vehicles to the roadside. Gorian exited his vehicle and, according to witnesses, assaulted the victim, punching him once and knocking him to the pavement.
