Selling Paint to Minors

Selling Paint to Minors

Over the past year, the number of vandalism and tagging calls responded to by sheriff’s deputies has increased dramatically throughout the Morongo Basin. Arrests have been made in many of these cases and, through an investigation, deputies have determined that some juvenile suspects have purchased the aerosol paints used in their crimes. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, would like to remind businesses and citizens that it is unlawful (a misdemeanor) to sell (or give) any aerosol paints or etching creams to any minor. Businesses engaged...

Setting the record straight on the “PLDH Project”

Yucca Valley, Ca– Just thought I would recap for the readers what took place at the Town Council / Redevelopment Agency meeting. Staff presented an update on the “PLDH Project” (medians, sidewalks, & streetlights). Yes Virgina, We Believe in Jesus too

I am about the least likely Mormon to ever be an authority on Church teachings. I am not even close to being perfect. I sin with every blog  I make and every foul word I utter.  The only thing that saves me from the sudden smite of the hand of the Lord is I am in a constant state of repentance. While the spirit is willing it has always seemed the earthly creature that it dwells in is weak and always falls short of the glory of the Lord....

I believe if the town’s political elite continues their present course of questionable if not corrupted politics, Yucca Valley shall not only become a ‘ghost town’ but may end up becoming another little Victorville. Thus far, two Federal agencies and a Grand Jury county investigations have cost Victorville $300,000. The newly-elect Victorville mayor Ryan McEachron — who initially called for a forensic...

MORONGO BASIN – Arianna Huffington on puffing her new citizen journalist blog could learn a thing or two from Cactus Thorns bloggers. We’ve been doing for years what she has recently accomplished in her hugely successful citizen journalist blog. And this blog has taken off in the Basin. It’s not in competition with the local media, but rather it’s an alternative to local media news. During the  past November elections, THORNS bloggers were busy busting the tips of their fingers getting the message out there. It was a conduit...
