Yucca Valley, Ca.- The new $3.5 million dollar Joint Power Authority Animal Shelter looks like a runaway train hijacked by Yucca Valley Town Manager, Mark Nuaimi. An unsuitable site, imaginary financing and untruthful projections make this animal shelter a bad deal for Yucca Valley taxpayers and the County of San Bernardino, who is financing 50% of this project and the future maintenance.  JPA Chairman Neil Derry, 3rd District Supervisor, needs to halt this project to avoid a potentially enormous public boondoggle especially since he is gearing up to seek...

On 08-28-11, at approximately 5:42 a.m., CHP Officers from Joshua Tree received a call regarding a traffic collision that was heard in the area of Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road) and Dundee Road in Johnson Valley. When the officers arrived they found a 23 year-old white male adult of Twenty-nine Palms, that had been involved in a roll-over collision into the desert.
