Billions for the Bankers – Debt Slavery for the People

I’ve been listening to conservative talk radio for over 20-years and it’s disturbing that the illegal, unconstitutional Federal Reserve is never discussed. It should be a daily topic, and I’m beginning to think that talkers like Rush Limbaugh are Judas Goats leading us away from the real issues. They rail against deficit spending and the printing of money, but regard the Federal Reserve as a legitimate organization. The only person in government talking about the Federal Reserve is Representative Ron Paul of Texas. There’s nothing Federal about the Federal...

Vacation Rentals: Same Story different location

A few short months ago Napa County was in the middle of a fight over Vacation Home Rentals. Some of the arguments that we heard at the last Council Meeting in Twentynine Palms were echos of many of the concerns and arguments voice up there in Napa in November of 2009.  One of the interesting arguments was because the law was not specific in addressing  the Vacation Home Rental issue. “Attorneys from Dickenson, Peatman & Fogarty, a Napa law firm that regularly deals with land use matters, agreed that...

Napa Valley: Put a stop to illicit vacation rentals

We in Twentynine Palms and San Bernardino County in general are not the only folks that are wrestling with the Vacation Home Rental Phenomenon. The Napa Valley  has been systematically banning or restricting the illicit activity for more than a year. This after many of the same type that have come here to ply their trade caused citizens to band together to save their neighborhoods from what turned out to be “Party Central.” In some towns they have outright banned them and in others they have struggled with a...

Open letter to Sherry Hall

Sherry you used my name in vain at the City Council meeting when I was not there to defend myself. You told the public you are threatened by me. Let me share something with you. You are the offense and I am the defense. You attack my recreation and I defend it. You mention my name at the council meeting and I write this blog. The old saying don’t dish it out if you cant take it applies here. You have every legal right to be the coordinator of...

Sherry Hall gambles that you’ll never know

Sherry Hall outspoken anti-recreationist, environmental extremist, and owner of illegal vacation rentals, wants you to believe that her extreme views on public access to public lands and her hate of family orientated sports is based on her love for nature. That fact is her rabid demands for the elimination of any motorized family activities is based on her bottom line. It always has to do with the money. She wants you to believe that vacation home rentals are cute little cottages filled with eco-friendly Euro-Tourists wanting the quiet and...

Lori Herbel: In Response to Banson Hunter

In Response to Banson Hunter’s open letter dated December 23, 2009, I have always stated, I would like to see CAMS move. In my numerous conversations with Town staff on this issue, the staff never informed me that they had a meeting with CAMS informing CAMS that they could not move. One staff member told me that they “forgot” about the meeting and that they did not know as of December 1, 2009 that a moratorium meant that CAMS could not move. I have since found out that we...
