Indio, Ca– Sheriff Stan Sniff promoted Lieutenant Frank Taylor this afternoon to the rank of Sheriff’s Captain. Captain Taylor will serve as the new Commander of the Sheriff’s Indio Jail. On Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Ronald Wayne Paoletto was booked for the murder of Tanya Marie Petro. Paoletto remains in custody at the West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail. He is scheduled to go to court on January 13, 2011. On January 7, 2011, Lake Elsinore Police officers investigated a missing person with suspicious circumstances. Tanya Marie Petro, a white female, 33 years, described as 5 feet 4 inches, 125 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, has been missing from the 1400 block of Morro Way in the city of Lake Elsinore as of January 4, 2011, at about noon. Yucca Valley, Ca– The Body of a 22 year old female from Yucca Valley that was reported missing by her family was discovered under suspicious circumstances. The victim was last seen on Friday, December 17, 2010, leaving her place of employment. The victim did not return home to her residence when expected and had not been seen or heard from. Indio, Ca– On December 11, 2010, at approximately 7:50 P.M., two inmates attempted to escape from custody at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Indio Jail. Jail deputies were quick to respond and established a perimeter around the facility. Both inmates were subdued and taken into custody. Back on 11/20/2010 at 1:03 AM, the San Bernardino Sheriff Department received a 911 call reporting a person had been shot at Karma Nightlife in the 12000 block of Cottonwood Road in the city of Victorville. On Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at approximately 2:15 pm, Sheriff’s Dispatch was called and advised a man – 50 year old Michael White – was on Hwy 58 near 1st acting strange. Back on 04/22/10 at 4:19 PM, deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff Department were called to the 6300 block of Hermosa Ave. in Yucca Valley for an injured subject down. When deputies arrived on-scene, they found Nicholas Lee Fuller, a 19 year-old resident of Yucca Valley, down with trauma to his upper body.
