Schwarzenegger urges regional action on climate change

capitalAlert.com- Schwarzenegger urges regional action on climate change Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, speaking about climate change at a United Nations forum in New York this morning, said he will “keep pushing regional governments around the world to come off the sidelines” to enact green energy programs such as California did during his tenure. “We don’t have to wait anymore for the national capitols to make it happen,” Schwarzenegger said. “Some of the most powerful movements in human history did not start at the top. … The battle for clean...

The Bell Tells For You Greener Than Thou: The Tyranny Of Eco-Sanctimony Larry Bell, 01.20.11, 02:25 PM EST Modern-day environmental activism is often contradictory. Just as everything humans have done in the name of industrial progress hasn’t been kind to the environment, it shouldn’t be assumed that everything is bad either. Yet the modern-day environmental activist movement tends not to see it that way. If there is perceived climate change, then it must be for the worst and our fault. Since human activities including industry create pollution, then most...

Corbin wants to needlessly piss thousands away!!!!!

Twentynine Palms, CA– Jerry “Jay” Corbin not only wants to double the budgeted cost of training new Planning Commissioners, but he wants them trained to be Radical Environmentalists to boot! —— Forwarded Message From: Jay Corbin <jcorbin29@gmail.com> Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2011 20:57:37 -0800 To: “Tooker, John” <jtooker@29palms.org> Subject: January 25th meeting John, Good morning! Following each Institute, the Commissioners would prepare a brief description of...

Washington’s obsession with land preservation threatens landowners, ranchers

From the pages of  The Billings Gazette this editorial : By RON POERTNER Just before Christmas with Congress in recess and the public on holiday, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar issued Secretarial Order 3310 that puts the creation of de facto wilderness areas back in the Bureau of Land Management’s preservation tool kit. Environmentalists love it; landowners and resource providers not so much. Salazar’s order enables the BLM to create wilderness-like areas without the consent of Congress. In the long run it will adversely impact resource development, recreation, travel and...

H2, I don’t know how many different sources you need but here is another one… A high-ranking member of the U.N.’s Panel on Climate Change admitted the group’s primary goal is the redistribution of wealth and not environmental protection or saving Earth, says Investor’s Business Daily (IBD). Ottmar Edenhofer, a German economist and cochair of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Working Group III on Mitigation of Climate Change, told the Neue Zurcher Zeitung last week: “The climate summit in Cancun at the end of the month...

Hal Lewis: My Resignation From The American Physical Society Hal Lewis: My Resignation From The American Physical Society Friday, 08 October 2010 17:19 Hal Lewis From: Hal Lewis, University of California, Santa Barbara To: Curtis G. Callan, Jr., Princeton University, President of the American Physical Society 6 October 2010 Dear Curt: When I first joined the American Physical Society sixty-seven years ago it was much smaller, much gentler, and as yet uncorrupted by the money flood (a threat against which Dwight Eisenhower warned a half-century ago). Indeed, the choice...

FlashReport.org: Passing the Kool-Aid in D.C.

Passing the Kool-Aid in D.C. – FlashReport – Presented by Jon Fleischman 3-8-2010 3:05 pm Yesterday several interesting discussions took place at the Public Lands Steering Committee of the National Association of Counties in Washington, D.C. A disturbing trend I’m seeing is that a subject that increasingly comes up in meetings involving federal land managers is Global Warm- er … I mean ‘Climate Change’ (which is the term that attributes any change in the weather to greenhouse-gas emitting – read breathing – human beings). One speaker, Tom Tidwell, Chief...

MBCA Extorts $120,000 from Wal-Mart

I guess Wal-Mart didn’t get the memo either. Using the “Junk Science” of “green house emissions” the Morongo Basin Conservation Association (MBCA) has extorted $120,000 from Wal-Mart as a condition to build the Wal-Mart Super Center. In other words, you pay the MBCA $120,000 and they will support any damned thing you want. Funny how dead Presidents can co-opt a supposed group looking out for the little critters so they can use that money to further attack public use of public lands. How about this little letter being emailed...

I guess the Chicken Littles didn’t get the memo

Joshua Tree, Ca– Now that the most absurd but potentially catastrophic junk science in human history is unraveling and we (JunkScience.com) are preparing to declare victory over gorebull warbling we can soon devote more attention to neglected junk. Unfortunately we still need to resist the last desperate effort by the carbon scammers and their assorted collection of socialists and Gaia worshipers. Expect a very large push this year before the U.S. mid-term elections and natural global cooling close their window of opportunity. From Australia, on through Europe and the...

When it comes to energy, she’s against it | whatever, energy, anyway – Opinion – Victorville Daily Press STEVE WILLIAMS Opinion Page Editor I don’t know what they have to say, It makes no difference anyway, Whatever it is, I’m against it. No matter what it is or who commenced it, I’m against it.—Groucho Marx in ‘Horsefeathers’ (1932) That would be California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s stand on developing energy, of all sorts and types.
