After hearing and reading about what happened at a board meeting in Panama City, Florida, where a disgruntled man started shooting the board members because his wife lost her job at the school district. It makes me wonder if our city officials and those in the community who attend meetings are safe. On Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 55000 block of Onaga Trail, Yucca Valley. Arriving deputies found that a family dispute had occurred in which a window at a residence was broken. The suspect, Jeremy Quinones, had left the scene in a white SUV prior to deputies arriving. La Quinta– Neighbors came to the rescue of a 34 year old woman who was stabbed several times during a domestic altercation Tuesday night at about 9:30 PM. The first aid and quick action by the off-duty nurse and other residents is believed to have helped save the victim’s life. On December 7, 2009 at approximately 8:47 p.m., deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to a call for service of an attempted murder on Woodland Drive in Erwin Lake.
