This will be real short. Yesterday Gary Daigneault spoke in an Editorial piece, and I quote, “There is no deal, has never been any expectation of matching funds…” This statement was made in regards to the city building a new 250 seat complex for “Theatre 29″ at the cost of approximately 8.9 million dollars. Lets then take at […]

I took the opportunity today to review the staff reports for the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Upon reading the staff report for modifying the density and uses for Office Commercial land designations I started to wonder exactly who is running this city and what their plans are. I can tell […]

Welcome to 29 Palms Ms. Herbel!

By   /  November 16, 2011  /  29 Palms, Opinion  /  37 Comments

Two reasons […]

I would like to express my thanks to our new city manager, Richard Warne, for doing exactly what he said he would do if it needed to be done. From the pictures that follow I think he agreed that Theater 29 needed a little bit of attention. I also want to thank veteran council member […]

Theater 29, Sunday, July 17, 2011 The Clock Starts

By   /  July 18, 2011  /  News  /  37 Comments

I went by our Theater 29 today to take some pictures from the public view of the Southeast portion of the theater. These pictures are a bit closer than those provided earlier by a posting of “robertelee” but they, I think, show the condition of the property and the land. All of us must remember […]
