“Cabana Boy Hagerman” Endorses Ramos! Huh?

February 26, 2012
By
IsaacHagerman_jpg

Yucca Valley, Ca.- Mayor Pro-tem (by a fluke of the rotation cycle and two resignations), Isaac Hagerman,  appears to be anxious to wield his big new title to endorse candidates.  In this case, James Ramos (D), should have been asked Hagerman to complete an application of “credibility” before accepting his endorsement. While never holding office in high school, never holding any appointed positions for the Town of Yucca Valley, and never attending Town Council meetings, Hagerman was elected to the  Council a year ago.  Campaign manager, Shannon Luckino, led...

Yucca Valley, Ca.- The bloggers on Cactus Thorns are encouraged by DanO to punch up the headlines and create a stir of mystery or curiosity to grab the reader.  After receiving extensive training from the Admin Guy, there is still much to be learned.  Fortunately, we have no word limitations on the blog and that is the reason for this very painful long first paragraph into this story.  If I have not lost you, are you curious yet? Okay, I have you on the second page,  so let’s make...

Hi-Desert Water District President Sarann Graham heading to Sacramento to attend a 2 hr Gala Reception at Ella’s Dining Room and Bar located in the downtown district of Sacramento using ratepayer funds! Yucca Valley, Ca.- It must be tough growing old and having missed the opportunity of being an important lobbyist working in Sacramento or Washington.  This was never my dream but apparently Hi-Desert Water District President Sarann Graham, a career politician, still dreams of the “Big Top.”  A self pro-claimed “Political Junkie,” her words, not mine, she enjoys ...

Yucca Valley, Ca.- Opinion.  Get out your air sick barf bags because the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors wants to jet around from here to there on your dime!  At the last meeting there was an “Emergency” item placed on the agenda because Staff just received notification of a conference relating to water issues that would be taking place before the next meeting.  This conference was approved, this ONE TIME, to authorize the Directors to attend and be paid $125 daily, meals, mileage, taxi and often hotel accommodations....

Yucca Valley Town Staff- Who’s Next?

January 28, 2012
By
margo123

Yucca Valley, Ca.- Long time employees are being culled from the herd…some disappearing without warning or courtesy notification from Town Manager, Mark Nuaimi. One friendly and  hard working employee received a 5 year longevity pin and the following week read the advertisement to hire a replacement for that position. Familiar names like Christine, Jeannie, Peggy, Keith were shown the door in a move to save money for the town.  These fine employees did not receive any small token “Award of Appreciation” for their past contributions to our community. ...

The expired RDA is leaving behind a long list of co-dependents and co-defendants of connected builders and Eminent Domain attorneys that had been the beneficiaries of loose RDA...

Nuaimi Misses the Mark re: Tax Impacts to Citizens

Yucca Valley, Ca.- Mark Nuaimi, the Town Manager of our little rural town, population just over 20,000 residents,  is receiving a large salary of $ 190,000.00 plus benefits and a monthly mileage stipend of $600.  This is  a contributing factor as I address the facts of the Board of Equalization which state increasing taxes will hurt the poor more than the rich. While there is a stated average amount of monthly income for Yucca Valley, let us be specific about the low income and the senior citizens trying to...

Yucca Valley Mayor Pro-Tem Hagerman Kicked Patients to the Curb

January 16, 2012
By
Yucca Valley Councilman Isaac Hagerman from Facebook

Yucca Valley, Ca.- YV Mayor Pro-tem Isaac Hagerman abruptly shut down his business, Hagerman Gardens Assisted Living on November 23, 2011. This facility, owned and operated by Hagerman for the past three years, is located in Sky Harbor in Yucca Valley. I was contacted by family members and they told me about their experiences during the hasty closure of the facility uprooting all the residents.  These gut-wrenching interviews took place over several days and the actions of Isaac Hagerman are completely disgusting the way he treated these elderly patients....

Yucca Valley, Ca.- According to the Press Enterprise analysis of Redevelopment Agency data filed with the State Controller’s Office, the Town of  Yucca Valley has racked up over One Hundred Million Dollars, $101,080.492.00!  Is our town worth that much?  I used to recall ex-Councilman Chad Mayes quoting a specific dollar amount of the worth of this little town but for the life of me, I do not remember the figure.  He always brought it up when the Council was addressing the high costs of our lacking infrastructure stating it...
