My name is Earl

The last couple of days have not been breaking in favor for guys named Earl.

The first  case going against an Earl was on 07/08/2010 at approximately 1:00 PM. Earl Allen Lee, a 51 year old resident of Bouse Az., was attempting to swim across the Colorado River between Earp Ca. and Parker Az. with friends.

He was seen to struggle against the current and called for help.

His friends called out instructions and tried to get to him, but lost sight of him as he went under water.

911 was called and the San Bernardino Sheriff Department and Colorado River Indian Tribal Police Department began a search.

Mercy Air’s helicopter joined the search and spotted what appeared to be a body floating near the California shoreline.

Deputies responded to the scene and found Lee floating face down in the water.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is investigating the incident.

Then On 07/09/10 at 3:15 pm, Earl Eugene Zahn, age 81, a resident of Yorba Linda was the driver and sole occupant of a 1996 Buick Regal traveling northbound on Interstate 15 near Nipton Road when he drifted off the right (south) shoulder and down an embankment.

Good old Earl Zahn was ejected and the car caught fire.

Zahn was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.

Like we said it just hasn’t been a good couple of days for guys named Earl.
