UPDATE: Search for 19 year old woman, Erin Corwin

UPDATE: The search for Erin Corwin began on Sunday, and continues in and around the Joshua Tree National Park by Sheriff’s Aviation and Search and Rescue volunteers. Erin’s vehicle was found in Twentynine Palms on Monday, but there was no indication of her direction of travel or current whereabouts.

user30969-1404250320-media2On Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 7:00 a.m., 19 year old Erin Corwin was last seen leaving her Twentynine Palms home enroute to Joshua Tree National Park. On Sunday, June 29, 2014, her husband reported her missing. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department began an extensive search by air and on the ground, utilizing volunteers and search and rescue teams. San Bernardino Sheriff’s Homicide Detail was contacted to assist in the investigation. 

Erin is a white female adult, 5′ 04″ tall, weighing 110 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes and is three months pregnant. She has no history of medical and/or psychological issues. Erin was last seen driving a blue, 2013 Toyota Corolla with California license plate number 7CJX519.

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Erin. Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail at (909)387-3589.     Somethings missing here. She was leaving by herself to go to Joshua Tree National Park? Last one to see her presumably was her husband?
    This story doesn’t sound like it’s going to have a happy ending.

    Lets hope she jumped in the car and is heading home… where ever home is. To mom and dad. We can only hope.

    UPDATE-July 6, 2014

    Investigators for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department have continued their search throughout the weekend for 19-year-old Erin Corwin. Investigators have been assisted by at least 50 search and rescue works along with the assistance of members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. There have been no new developments in this case.
