Susan Simmons Candidate

YUCCA VALLEY – Susan Simmons, a 25-year resident of Yucca Valley and a small business owner, has declared her candidacy for Yucca Valley Town Council. To date, Simmons is the first candidate to officially file with the Town of Yucca Valley, announcing her intent to run for one of the open seats in the November election.

Simmons believes the key ingredients to maintaining a safe and successful community are common sense, balanced growth and strong public safety. “I want to do my part by bringing my common sense and integrity to this seat. I also feel that every voice in this community matters. We all need to work together if we want our town to thrive.”

Simmons also believes that despite the recent challenging events in our town, Yucca Valley’s best days lie ahead of us. “I’m open to fresh ideas. I don’t have a political agenda and I’m not affiliated with any organization.”

Along with her common sense approach to local government, she is also an advocate for small business, the arts and the environment. One of her many goals is to create more outdoor spaces for people to hike and to enjoy the outdoors in Yucca Valley.

  1. Susan Simmons has been attending the Town Council meetings, HDWD Board meetings, Planning Commission meetings and other special workshops involving our community for the past several months. She is not afraid to ask the tough questions….even to HDWD lawyer, BBK John Brown.
