ORIGINAL POST, May 18, 2014

Twentynine Palms, Ca.,-There were so many lovely comments and touching tributes on Facebook about the sudden departure of our beloved Muffin Hill. She died peacefully at her home in Twentynine Palms Friday morning, May 16, 2014, at the age of 84. It was difficult to choose but this one stood out:

“Today we lost an amazing wonderful lady who was such a contributor to our community. She lived a long life and touched so many of us with her humor, wit and giving ways. It makes me think about how much I will miss her and how much I love and care for all the people in my life. Even when you know the one you care for is not long for this earth, it doesn’t make their passing any easier, so please let the ones you love know just how you feel because your tomorrow may not come and you may miss your chance. I love you all, family and friends, today, tomorrow and always!”-Posted by Kari Grimes

An art exhibit honoring Muffin Hill, will be held at the Hi-Desert Water District in Yucca Valley. The show, titled “Water, Water” features the artwork of 36 different artists. Hill coordinated art shows featuring local artists at the water district for many years. An opening reception will be held 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Water District’s office at Inca Trail and the Highway in Yucca Valley. “Water Water” is open to the public and will be on display through July 14.

She was a very close and personnel friend to me and Laura. She was the best and we are near tears.

    Sleep well my good friend.

I remember the first time we met when you called in a disturbance at Knott Sky Park. I also remember your support while I was a council member.

Too many loses of late for me to understand. Mac Dube and now Muffin.

Again sleep well my friends we miss you much.

  2. I remember this lady too. Her passing is all about energy, frequency and vibrations as is with everything in the cosmos. Here energy is forever.

  3. Muffin invited me to her residence in Twentynine Palms and she spoke of her love of cats. She shared many photographs of those who were her loves and went on over the rainbow bridge. She will be delighted to find them waiting for her.

An art exhibit at the HDWD this Wednesday was going to be a celebration of her recently announced retirement. I believe her presence will still be there at the opening.

Thank you Muffin for your kindness and goodness setting an example for all. Rest in peace knowing you will be missed by many.

Hi Margo do you know what time that will be?

I do remember her cats. Do you remember her catwalk in her living rom for her babies – it was awesome.

      • Yes..the catwalk! She had her back patio entirely closed in too!

The art exhibit at HDWD is Wednesday at 5 PM. Here is the latest information:
