River Don Laid to Rest Today

RiverDonYucca Valley, Ca.,- Donald Frohriep aka River Don is finally at rest. A memorial service will be held at 12:15 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Cemetery at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.

The local newspaper lists his obituary:

Donald Duane Frohriep, a Yucca Valley resident since 2006, died due to cancer April 13, 2014, at the age of 67.

The son of Leo Arthur Frohriep and Iris Celia Schneider, he was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Burr Oak, Mich.

He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Frohriep was a mechanic and the founder of the only homeless sanctuary in the Morongo Basin.>link

He was preceded in death by his stepson Jerome Edwards.

Mr. Frohriep is survived by his daughters, Nicki Frohriep, Kristen Frohnep and Jessica Ducat, his sons, Robbie Frohriep and Taylor Sinclair, and his stepsons, James Redd, Kijana Redd, Thomas Redd and Christopher Edwards. For more>link
