On May 8th, the San Bernardino Give BIG fundraiser raised a total of $548,214 with 3,533 donations made by 2,465 individual donors. The Hi-Desert Star reported our local charities raked in over $30,000.

The rules and regulations require each 501(c)(3) entity be registered as a nonprofit prior to April 1, 2014. There was a $100 fee to participate and the organizing agency will keep a percentage of the donation.

In an earlier post, the Attorney General declared Theatre 29 was operating in California without registration as a non-profit. Theatre 29 finally registered on May 2, 2014,…one month AFTER the date to qualify.  Did Theatre 29 falsify their application?
