Yucca Valley, Ca.,- A picture is worth a thousand words.  Here are several pictures of the well attended event that took place on March 31, 2014 organized by WWII veteran, Carl Gorham. Press Release>link

Congressman Raul Ruiz was the guest speaker while Congressman Paul Cook attended the ribbon cutting for the gambling casino in Twentynine Palms with Supervisor James Ramos. “This is a special day for Twentynine Palms,” Cook said, as he bestowed a certificate of Congressional recognition at the opening ceremonies.

Please know, Assemblyman Paul Cook took all the credit for originating this day be set aside for our veterans, however, it was Gorham’s idea and work for many years that was snatched away from him. See this story>link

Yucca Valley Town Councilman Bob Leone and his wife Betty were honored at this event for their contributions.  Candidate for Assembly, Karalee Hargrove received a “Shout Out” by Congressman Raul Ruiz for her attendance at this event.  The local newspaper did not report one word about Congressman Ruiz, the wonderful guest speaker that connected with every vet in the room with his sincerity.

Thank you Congressman Ruiz for taking time out of your day to thank our vets!
