Rancho Cucamonga—Veteran Criminal Prosecutor Grover Merritt today earned the endorsement of two former candidates for District Attorney.
“Grover Merritt has my complete and unqualified support in his bid for the office of District Attorney,” declared local Attorney Frank Guzman, who ran for DA in 2010. “I have found him to be an individual of integrity and honesty who possesses the experience to become an effective district attorney.”
Guzman strongly criticized incumbent Mike Ramos. “San Bernardino is a county riddled with crime and a lack of credibility on the part of our present District Attorney. Grover Merritt will act to make our communities safe again and help restore the respect that the men and women of law enforcement deserve.”
Former 2010 District Attorney Candidate Robert Conaway, a well known High Desert Democrat, joined Guzman in endorsing Merritt.
“I am honored to earn the support of these two distinguished San Bernardino County attorneys and former candidates,” stated Merritt. “While the incumbent continues to dodge public debates and hide behind his Orange County political advisor, my campaign is gaining momentum with the voters of San Bernardino County.”
“The public deserves a District Attorney who will focus on reducing the appalling levels of crime in our communities. Unfortunately, incumbent Ramos is AWOL in the fight against crime because he’s too busy playing politics with his cronies up in Sacramento,” concluded Merritt.
