Its Springtime in the Midwest

Our friend Joe and avid reader of CT was stuck back in Stirling Illinois this winter due to some minor, but chronic health issues. It was a harsh Winter out in the Midwest and Stirling was right in the middle of the storm tracks. Joe misses 29 Palms and wants to get back next winter.

Good news…. The Spring thaw has begun. The Rock River iced over this Winter. The other day the ice started to break up and the river sent sheets of ice down stream toward the Mississippi.

Great photos of the event were sent and I thought you would all like to see what weather we all missed this year.
