Joshua Tree, Ca.,- The Joshua Basin Water District Board of Directors have been working hard to narrow down their choice as JBWD manager among an extremely high number of applicants with an enormous depth of experience in the water industry.
Someone close to the process said, “It is really amazing to me the high caliber of water experience professionals that have applied for this position but I think we’re really close now.” That explains everything because I was contacted by an acquaintance who is an engineer holding several degrees in the water industry and planning, who said he did not even have a chance for a face-to-face interview.
The rumors that Joe Guzzetta would return back to his position on the JBWD were passed around in jest at a recent barbeque and of course, the directors at Big Horn Desert View Water District voted to give their manager a “praise & raise” to keep her on board. I predict these two will not be the next JBWD manager nor Hi-Desert Water District Board of Director, Bob Stadum, who applied for the position.
The next scheduled meeting of the JBWD is tomorrow, Wednesday, February 5, 2014, where it is expected there will be an announcement after meeting in closed session , agenda item #6 “Public Employee Appointment-General Manager.”
