gop-empty-chairYucca Valley, Ca.,- The Morongo Basin Lincoln Club held their “Election Meeting” dinner to promote and endorse candidates.  The advertised guest speakers and candidates were Sheriff John McMahan, Bob Dutton, Chad Mayes and Congressman Paul Cook.  Offering no excuse to those in attendance except to say that Paul Cook was unable to attend, not one member from his staff or his Field Representative, Dawn Rowe, stopped by either. Hmmm, I wonder why?

Cook in cruise mode for reelection

Congressman Paul Cook (R-Yucca Valley) appears to be headed for an easy reelection bid.

With no serious challengers, republican or democrat, on the horizon, Cook seems destined for a second term.

As of December 31, 2013, Cook, who represents the heavily GOP-leaning 8th Congressional District, has raised $405,315, with $319,088 in cash-on-hand.  Source>LINK
