Busted

handcuffsIn a single afternoon on  January 22, 2014, between Noon and 5:00 PM, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, served numerous arrest warrants in and around the Town of Yucca Valley. During the operation, deputies made twelve arrests. Among the arrests were (not all arrests are detailed below):

Nephateria Ary, 33 YOA, a resident of Joshua Tree, was arrested on misdemeanor drug warrants. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $30,000.

George Bonney, 57 YOA, a resident of Joshua Tree, was arrested on a misdemeanor traffic warrant. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $30,000.

Johnathan Cozart, 22 YOA, a transient, was arrested on a misdemeanor vandalism warrant. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $10,000.

Eileen Salazar, 37 YOA, a transient, was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing warrant. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $5,000.

Joann Risnes, 55 YOA, a resident of Yucca Valley, was arrested on misdemeanor thefts warrants. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $10,000.

Gregory Thomas, 55 YOA, a transient, was arrested on multiple misdemeanor arrest warrants. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $35,000.

Justin Morrow, 19 YOA, a resident of Joshua Tree, was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail on charges of being under the influence of drugs and possessing hypodermic needles. He was released on citation.

Courtney Longoria, 20 YOA, a resident of Yucca Valley, was arrested on a misdemeanor drug warrant and a new charge of possessing narcotics. She was booked at West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $30,000.

Toyia Weaver, 60 YOA, a resident of Yucca Valley, was arrested on a felony drug warrant and a new charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. She was booked at West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $150,000.

The Public Affairs Division consists of specialized units, Media Liaison, Community Liaison, Labor/Industrial Relations, Operation CleanSWEEP, Crime-Free Multi-Housing, Juvenile Intervention Program and Special Projects.
