Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Brian Ashley Beckham, 36, of Kingman, early Tuesday (12/24) afternoon on five counts of aggravated luring of minor for sexual exploitation (class 2 felony), five counts of luring of minor for sexual exploitation (class 3 felony) and five counts of furnishing harmful material to a minor (class 4 felony).
Investigations began December 11th when Detectives responded to the Lee Williams High School regarding a sex offense report. Detectives contacted school officials. School officials reported that a 15-year-old female student advised that Beckham, a relative, has been making sexual advances toward her. Investigations determined that Beckham has been sending pornographic images from the internet to her cell phone and text messages asking for sexual favors since October 2012. Child Protective Service took custody of the victim.
During the investigation, detectives confirmed the pornographic images and sexual messages were sent from Beckham’s phone to the victim’s phone. Thursday (12/24), at about 12:00 p.m., Beckham responded to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where detectives interviewed him. During conversations with Beckham, he denied any involvement with the victim.
Beckham was taken into custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
