Yucca Valley Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel

I heard it from the horses mouth… sour grapes to the Town Council; good cheers to the Calvary Chapel

Yucca Valley, CA – A little birdy told me this morning that some Yucca Valley Town Council Members are not pleased with the holiday spirit of giving  that Joshua Springs Calvary Church is involved in.

The Yucca Valley Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel — the largest Church in the Morongo Basin — located in upper Sky Harbor — has received it’s share of local criticism. This is why this morning I was sincerely delighted when a good friend told me that the Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel is handing out free blankets and sleeping bags to the homeless.

My friend was walking her dog in back of Home Depot this morning when she was approached by a man. The man asked her, “Are you homeless”. My well-healed friend is certainly not homeless. She lives in Beverly Hills and Yucca Valley —  but she was wearing dirty old boots, old cloths and was layered-up to keep warn. Easily she could be mistaken to be homeless.

She asked the man, “Why would you ask me that?” The man explained he was with the Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel and that they were handing out blankets and sleeping bags to the homeless. The man told her that the town council was not pleased with the Church because some council members believe this will draw homeless to Yucca Valley.

Wouldn’t this would make Jesus Christ cringe? And if this is all true, I’m guessing God in heaven is shaking his or her head in manifest disgust with those hapless members on the town council. If  true, those said and faulty Christian members on the town council that don’t like this church passing out blankest and sleeping bags are hypocrites not worthy of public office.

Much phrase and respect goes out to the Calvary Chapel for their kindhearted effort to make our homeless veterans and seniors and others more comfortable. That is the Christian spirit and the Christian way.

I reiterate that some members on the Town Council are in my opinion mean-spirited with their own selfish and narrow agenda. I am guessing that Town Council Member Dawn Rowe may be a disgruntled Grinch not happy with her Calvary Chapel helping our cold, tired and hungry less fortunate  Americans.

Ben, Your comment about Dawn Rowe, is a disgraceful as they come, and you don’t know how lucky you are to be some pathetic old man right now. She has given more in the last month, to this country, and our community, than you have given in your pathetic life! it is people like you that are discouraging anyone from serving their community’s. By the way did you know that her husband gave his life, so some piece of shit like you can write this trash without getting your ass handed to you. You should be real proud! I hope your Christmas sucks, along with your new new year!

  2. Thanks Tim for your opinion.

Do you have any facts contrary to what the little birdy said, or what the Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel member has to say about some council members whom are pissed about Calvary members helping our homeless veterans, seniors, women and others less fortunate tired, cold and hungry Americans? Did you know I spent my time in the Marine Corp keeping you safe, the most difficult and stressful period in my entire life, or that for a majority of my adult life I have worked for poverty wages with non-profit corporations representing people in one form or another. Or that I have logged in hundreds of days and thousands hours doing volunteer work?

I welcome any and all comments you have to this story. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday.

Hey Margo, what happened to the story on the planning commission? Word
around town is that your buddy, Leone slapped your hand again and told
you to take it down! Well I guess that put the last nail in the chance
for you to get that planning commission spot. Don’t worry you could
always ask the mayor for the appointment when I step down, I am sure he
    will give it careful consideration!

  5. Timmy is full of poop. Unable to tell the truth with his mush-mouth…poor little fool. There was NO hand slapping and post was NOT taken down. In fact, that post just hit 125,272 reads! Yeah! You really have to stop your excessive drinking because not only is your liver becoming pickled…so is your peanut brain. (BTW,-Thanks limp Timmy for not producing anymore babies into this world because you are not a good role model.)

Little Timmy has an inferiority complex and will never creep out of the shadow of his more successful “Search & Rescue” sibling. Good thing his Daddy made Jr promise to keep watch over his little brother…Little Timmy.
