The Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET) assisted United States Border Patrol with a drug and weapons investigation after USBP stopped a vehicle on Interstate 10, near Intake Blvd, in Blythe, California.

The driver, Jeffrey Macias (33), of Phoenix, AZ and his passenger, Daniel Torres (22), of Buckeye, AZ, were arrested for possession of three AR-15 Assault Rifles and thirteen handguns, one of which was reported stolen. Macias was also found in possession of suspected cocaine and heroin. They were both booked into the Blythe Jail.
BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe-Palo Verde Valley area. BNET’s primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety.
