Deputies bust scrappers

58418aChloride, AZ– Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bradley Wesley Campbell, 35, of White Hills, and Samuel Robert Millim, 26, of Dolan Springs, Wednesday (10/16) evening. Campbell and Millim were arrested on felony charges of burglary 3rd degree – unlawful entry. Approximately 7:18 p.m., deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a mining business located in the 8000 block of N Old Boulder Highway.
Dispatch advised that an employee reported a beige sports utility vehicle on the property. While enroute, dispatch advised that the employee further reported that the vehicle is leaving the property. Deputies located the vehicle traveling southbound on Old Boulder Highway where a traffic stop was conducted. Deputies contacted Campbell, the driver, and Millim, the passenger.
Deputies had both occupants exit the vehicle. Deputies observed numerous lead plates and a sheet of stainless steel located in the cargo area of the vehicle. Campbell and Millim were taken into custody without incident.
The employee responded and confirmed the 20 lead plates and sheet of stainless steel belonged to the business. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
This business reported three burglaries this week including Wednesday’s (10/16) as mentioned above. On Monday (10/14) and Tuesday (10/15) numerous copper/lead anodes were reported stolen.
During the investigation, deputies learned that Campbell and Millim stored some of the stolen items at Campbell’s residence. Those items were recovered. Upon further investigations, deputies determined that Millim sold some of the reported stolen items to a local recycling center in Kingman on Wednesday (10/16).
Millim was additionally charged with trafficking in stolen property, two counts of theft and two counts of burglary, felonies.
Campbell was additionally charged with two counts of theft and two counts of burglary, felonies.
