On Thursday, October 17, 2013, about 8:10 AM, the Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET) served a narcotic-related search warrant in the 400 block of San Jacinto Way, in city of Blythe. Personnel from Colorado River Station, Blythe Police Department and United States Border Patrol assisted with the investigation.
The search warrant resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and items indicative of drug sales. Michael “Quincy” Becerra (36), of Blythe, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, maintaining a place where drugs are used/sold and child endangerment. He was booked into the Blythe Jail.
BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe-Palo Verde Valley area. BNET’s primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety.
