Dolan Springs, AZ– Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance to help identify the homicide victim. As previous reported, detectives arrested Jose Isabel Licea-Mendoza, 35, of Las Vegas, Nevada, early Monday (10/7) evening for 1st degree murder, felony.
On October 5th and 6th Licea-Mendoza was at a family members property located in the 12600 block of Kellkari Road, west of Dolan Springs. A caretaker of the property possibly known as Jose was the victim of the homicide. The victim’s body was located buried on the property on Monday (10/7).
The victims’ first name is believed to be Jose and he is believed to be from El Salvador. The victim is described as a Hispanic male adult approximately 5’06” at 160 pounds with salt and pepper hair. He is approximately 50 years of age.
The autopsy results have determined the victim died of a single gunshot wound to his head. The weapon was recovered and it is a 41 magnum revolver owned by Licea-Mendoza.
Residents living in the area of Cottonwood Road near Dolan Springs who may know the victims’ identity is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office.
