On Monday, August 26, 2013, at about 8:30 AM, a male teacher resigned his employment from the Jurupa Valley School District and turned himself into investigators at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station. Jurupa Valley Station investigators from the Jurupa Valley Police Department initiated an investigation into allegations that the teacher had molested a student at the Granite Hill Elementary School, during the 2013 school year. During the course of their investigation, the investigators determined that the former teacher had molested more than one child, (over a several-years period of time). Investigators submitted a child molestation criminal case with the Office of the District Attorney.
On October 10, 2013, a warrant was issued for the former teacher. Investigators arrested 49-year-old Eastvale resident Sean Edwards for a felony child molestation warrant. He was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center and his bail is set at $110,000.00
The investigation is ongoing and we are reaching out to the public and asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Investigator Devine at the Jurupa Valley Station at 951-955-2600.
