What struck us was the amount of commerce that the closing of on base government sponsored competition had brought to 29 Palms. Wow. The stores were busy and the parking lots full.
If this is a shut down, lets have more days like this.
The Autozone parts store was packed. I asked a couple of young Marines out front if they had just discovered 29 Palms? They said yes, and they liked it.
We have an opportunity to capitalize on this shut down, as long as we do not overcharge or act rude. Lets hope they keep the commissary closed and any other MCCS functions declared nonessential shut down.
There is a silver lining here folks its called fairness to the business community.
