The San Bernardino City Council, after driving the city into ruins, has learned its lesson: Tonight it will begin asking residents and other members of the public “What they think is important for the city to prioritize and consider.”
Meanwhile, 29 Palms these past years and to this very day, has willingly and recklessly driven itself into deficit-spending if you want to include the bond debt of $31 million and willy-nilly priorities while it has largely abandoned its people, its firefighters, the 29 Palms Water District, and public safety.
The Pope yesterday has taken a shot at our Throwaway and Wasteful Society. The Pope yesterday also alleged that people have adapted The False God of Money Worship.
- Hence, the best example in our neck of the woods is City Hall’s wasteful spending (tens of millions of dollars in debt with nothing to show for it) in attempting to duplicate three very nice and serviceable city buildings; to wit, Community Center,a performing arts theater and the now rediscovered Donnell Hill Visitors Center.
Folks, the inadequate or bad advice provided by outside legal counsel has driven this city into incredible debt such that the only thing that outdoes this blunders is when the council recently gave counsel a good performance evaluation for bad legal advice. The vote was 5-0.
Why keep bringing this up? Because City Hall and City Council are not learning from their mistakes.
