Yucca Valley, Ca.,- One citizen trying to make a difference in his community has posted a telling photo album on Facebook to expose the disparity of the low income children living and playing in Paradise Valley and of those affluent children living in Sky Harbor. (Essig Park)
There is no need for me to add any commentary except to say this dog park, Essig Park, was approved to go over budget by $350,000 without identifying any funding by the following councilmen:
Recall target Councilman George Huntington voted YES.
Recall target Councilman Robert Lombardo voted YES.
Appointed Councilman Merl Abel voted YES.
To her credit, Councilman Dawn Rowe voted NO.

(PS. Why should our town fund Cindy Melland’s private Brehm Park at an estimated $300,000 per year?)
