Results are in for the 2013 Board Elections for the Twentynine Palms Water District with our own favorite son and contributor to the blog Chancey Chambers landsliding the competition by well over 100 votes. Coming in second was Anita “Suzi” Horn. Roger Shinaver came in third to win reelection and round out the field.
Chambers asked to relay the following statement to the citizens of the District, “I’d like to thank the public for entrusting me with another term as TPWD director. As promised, I will continue make the best decisions possible for both our Water District and our Community.”
In other news results for the Morongo Valley Community Service District were released:
We at Cactusthorns would like to congratulate all of the winners this evening and hope the very best for each of those chosen to serve our communities.
To those that did not make it, I personally know how you feel. While you might not have won, look how many people put the trust of their vote in you…. You are each blessed by many stalwart, and loyal friends. Do not let this be your only attempt at leadership, two years is a very short time. Take a breath and then reinvent yourself, get back into the saddle and try again.
