Whilst we were all consumed with the terminations of both Richard Warne and Mark Nuaimi the grist wheel of justice has been turning steadily grinding the tattered remains of the nonprofit National Community Renaissance, or National CORE, which develops low income housing. The same CORE that is busy ripping up Joshua Trees and murdering the habitat of local road kill in Yucca Valley.
Agents searched the following locations Thursday June 31, 2013:
The Fontana home of former state Sen. Jim Brulte and the Fontana office of California Strategies, where Brulte works as a political consultant.
The home of Rancho Cucamonga developer Jeff Burum and his two offices, including his nonprofit National Community Renaissance, or National CORE, which develops low income housing.
The Rancho Cucamonga home of former county Supervisor Paul Biane.
The Highland home of former Assistant Assessor Jim Erwin, a major negotiator in the settlement.
The Oak Hills home of Mark Kirk, former chief of staff for Supervisor Gary Ovitt.
Patrick O’Reilly, CEO of O’Reilly Public Relations, was identified as an uncharged co-conspirator in a February 2010 criminal complaint filed by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s and state Attorney General’s offices against Erwin and former county Assessor Bill Postmus.
The raids by the FBI and the Federal IRS are not over and could reach even to Yucca Valley and the office of Town Manager. With the hinky no bid contracts signed after the dissolution of the Towns RDA, chances are eventually the wide net that has been thrown, that even the likes of the Town Council will be pulled in to answer what their involvement might be. Surely the former Town Manager has his hands clasped behind his back covering his tight pucker asshole. Chances are very good the poor SOB is looking at having to go PC in the event he is called to testify as to his participation in this whole sorted tale.
This CORE thing is going to come to bite the ass of the Town of Yucca Valley. Each of those that had responsibility in this Senior housing fiasco will have to answer if not to the State and Federal Courts then to the voters themselves. This is a big deal folks. This is a huge breach of the Public Trust…. Someone is going to go to prison….. P R I S O N.
I believe the reason you might find the Town Council so willing to send Nuaimi off with a golden parachute is the hope he will testify in their defense in and future litigation or criminal procedure. Problem with that logic is Nuaimi is out to save his own giblets.
It is a no win situation for those on the Council that voted over the last few years in support of what they would have to had known as a shady deal. To think that Nuaimi, Burum, or the others when given the opportunity to save their own skin would not sell council members of some backwater burg in the desert down the river, you got another thing coming.
It’s a No win. situation for the boys and girls of the Yucca Valley Council….. They can give the guy a parting gift and risk it viewed as a bribe or fire the guy for cause and know some where down the line he is going to make a deal with the DOJ to send each of them to the hoosegow.
