On 08/18/2013, at 8:24 PM, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of a vehicle versus a pedestrian on State Hwy 62 and Scarvan Ave, in Yucca Valley. Deputies arrived and found 56 year old Judity M. James a resident of Yucca Valley, with trauma to the head.
The woman was confirmed dead of her injuries at 8:32 PM.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is investigating the incident.
Jose Salazar, 43 year old, Moreno Valley resident was traveling westbound in the number one lane of Twentynine Palms Hwy, driving his 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck; when for unknown reasons, Jane Doe walked south across the highway.
Salazar was unable to avoid colliding with Jane Doe, striking her broadside. Jane Doe was pronounced dead at the scene by San Bernardino County Fire Paramedics.
The collision is still under investigation.
