Neil Derry

It seems San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Neil Derry held a succesful political fundraiser event in Redlands last Wednesday evening. This was Derry’s first event since taking office last December.

By all reports the packed house will net the supervisor six figures.

The only reason I write on this today is that it doesn’t appear the event suffered any impact from attempts by Derry’s colleague, Fifth District Supervisor Josie Gonzales, to cut off Derry’s fundraising. Particularly from local developers.

Gonzales was reportedly calling donors and urging them not to contribute to the Derry event.

Details of this saga was covered a couple weeks ago on iePolitics.

According to sources Gonzales has denied any such attempt to Derry even though the donors threw her under the bus.

Just think. These two sit next to each other at the dais.

Entertaining as always.
