One hell of a weekend on the AZ Side of the River

HOLIDAY ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

bikiniMohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the following people on Lake Havasu during the Memorial Day holiday weekend (5/24 through 5/27):

The following people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence – Watercraft (misdemeanor):

o Pogos Arutyunyan, 29, of Los Angeles, CA.

o Cynthia Janelly Rosales, 24, of San Bernardino, CA

o Richard William Mansfield, 31, of Albuquerque, NM.

•The following people were arrested for DUI – Watercraft and DUI – Watercraft with a BAC of .08% or more (both misdemeanors):

o Annette Gallardo, 31, of Moreno Valley, CA.

o Darren Robert Pickles, 29, of Mesa, AZ.

• The following person was arrested for DUI – Watercraft, DUI – Watercraft with a BAC of .08% or more, Extreme DUI – Watercraft with a BAC of .15% or more and Super Ext reme OUI with a BAC over .20% (all misdemeanors):

o Ashley Susanne Aegerter, 28, of Oceanside, CA.

BURGLARY/TRAFFICKING/DRUGS – TOPOCK

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jesse Taylor McWilliams, 19, of Golden Shores, late Saturday (5/25) morning for burglary, trafficking in stolen property, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. May 5 th deputies responded to a burglary report at a residence in the 4900 block of Tule Drive.

Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 47-year-old male victim. The victim reported that someone entered his house after a window was broken. The victim further reported that two guitars, a television, a laptop, camera and watch were stolen. Investigations determined that McWilliams pawned a guitar at a pawn shop.

At about 9:15 a.m., deputies located McWilliams inside a shed in the 13100 block of South Shore Parkway. Deputies observed McWilliams leaning forward over a washing machine. Deputies further observed an orange hypodermic needle cap and a spoon containing a white crystal substance on the closed lid of the washing machine. As McWilliams turned around, deputies observed him holding a hypodermic needle in his hand. McWilliams put the needle down on the washer as requested by deputies.

McWilliams was taken into custody without incident. A search of McWilliams revealed an orange pill container with several pills. The pills were identified as narcotics and no prescription information on the container. The white crystal substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

McWilliams was transported to the Mohave County District II Substation. Deputies questioned McWilliams about the burglary on May 5th. During conversations with McWilliams, he admitted to the burglary and selling the stolen television to a friend. He was booked into the jail.

3X’S AGGRAVATED DUI – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Karl Desmond Beale, 41, of Golden Valley, early Sunday (5/26) afternoon for aggravated DUI – suspended license, aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% or more, and aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% or more, felonies. Approximately 1:13 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a convenience store located in the 5000 block of Highway 68.

Upon arrival, deputies contacted the manager and he reported that a male subject driving a go-cart was causing a disturbance. The manager further reported that the male subject was extremely intoxicated when he left traveling west on Highway 68.

A short time later, deputies observed the go-cart traveling east on Chino Drive. A traffic stop was conducted as the go-cart turned in a driveway of a residence in the 3200 block of Bryce Road. Deputies contacted the operator, identified as Beale. During conversations with Beale, he said that he got upset and flipped off a person at the store when he was asked to move his go-cart.

Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Beale. Further conversations with Beale, he admitted to having two beers earlier. A record check revealed Beale to have a suspended driver’s license. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Beale was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .175%. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WEAPONS OFFENSE – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Randall Bryan Findley, 41, of Golden Valley, early Sunday (5/26) evening for possession of a weapon by prohibited person, felony. Approximately 6:15 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 3200 block of Klagetoh Road. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Findley caused a disturbance with his sister at the residence. Deputies further learned that Findley took off into the desert with a shotgun and a handgun. A K9 Handler responded with his K9 named Ecko. Deputies located an ATV northeast of the residence. Deputies located a cowboy style holster with a pistol on the seat of the ATV.

A search of the area was conducted and K9 “Ecko” located Findley hiding in the bushes, approximately 400 yards from the residence where he was taken into custody. During conversations with Findley, he said that he left the shotgun on the bumper of a trailer. Deputies confiscated both weapons. A computer check showed Findley to have a prior felony conviction. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident.

DEATH INVESTIGATION – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a subject at a residence in the 5600 block of South Pasadena Road. At about 6:13 p.m., Saturday (5/25) evening a fire was reported at the residence by a neighbor. Fort Mohave Fire Department and Mohave Valley Fire Department personnel were at the scene extinguishing the structure fire when a deceased subject was located inside. Identification is pending notification of next of kin. A joint investigation including FMFD and MCSO is being conducted. Autopsy results are pending.

DANGEROUS DRUGS FOR SALE – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Joe Esposito, 23, of Kingman, late Sunday (5/26) morning for possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and false report to law enforcement officer, misdemeanor. Approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies contacted a male subject riding a bicycle in the 4300 block of Able Drive. The male subject initially falsely identified himself. During conversations with the male subject, he provided deputies with a birthdate which made him fifteen years old. At that time, deputies took the male subject into custody. Deputies located an identification card in the male subject’s wallet identifying himself as Esposito. A search of Esposito revealed a black case containing a scale and three plastic bags containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. One of the plastic bags weighed 1.5 grams while the other two were 2.5 grams. Esposito was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

THEFT/FRAUD/MARIJUANA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffery Scott Mahoney, 30, and Rachel Marie Fox, 25, both from Oklahoma, Saturday (5/25) afternoon for fraud, five counts of possession of stolen property, theft of means of transportation, unlawful use of means of transportation and possession of marijuana, felonies. Deputies received an anonymous tip advising a fugitive named Jeffrey Mahoney was currently outside of a residence in the 1800 block of Shasta Lake Drive. Approximately 1:40 p.m., deputies responded to the area and observed a male subject and a female subject standing near a GMC truck with Oklahoma plates.

Deputies contacted the male subject identified as Mahoney and the female subject identified as Fox. A record check was conducted on Mahoney with no outstanding warrants. A computer check on the license plate returned the vehicle as stolen out of Oklahoma. Mahoney and Fox were taken into custody without incident. During conversations with Fox, she said that Mahoney, her boyfriend, often borrows the truck from his parents.

A search of the vehicle revealed an orange bottle containing marijuana, a debit card belonging to a relative, a book of checks belonging to a relative, various receipts from the debit card and several gifts cards.

Deputies contacted the relative, a 53-year-old female victim. The victim advised that she did not give permission for Mahoney or Fox to use her debit card or to have her checks. They were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

TRANSPORT DANGEROUS DRUGS – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew David Harrison, 35, of Kingman, Friday (5/24) morning for transport and/or sell dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. At about 9:35 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Baker Avenue, south of Northern Avenue. Deputies contacted Harrison, the driver. Deputies observed Harrison to be quite nervous. Deputies questioned Harrison and he said that he has marijuana. A search of Harrison revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana and two plastic bags containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine and weighted approximately 1.6 grams. Harrison was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jaci Elaine Gilstrap, 22, of Kingman, late Sunday (5/26) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia, felony. Approximately 11:51 a.m., deputies contacted Gilstrap during a traffic stop in the area of Marshall Drive and Snavely Avenue. A consent search of Gilstrap’s purse revealed a wrapper containing a black sticky residue which field tested positive for heroin. Gilstrap was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
