Lake Havasu, AZ– Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle injury accident that occurred in the 4000 block of Window Rock Road late Sunday (3/17) evening. At about 11:10 p.m. deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident.
When emergency crews arrived, they discovered that two subjects had been injured when the off-road Razor they had been operating rolled over. The 2011 Polaris Razor had been driven by Cole Hamil, 30, westbound on Window Rock Road approaching Lakeside when he lost control and the ATV rolled over.
Hamil and his passenger, Darryl Maggard, 30, both Lake Havasu City residents, were transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center. Later, Maggard was airlifted by Native Air to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, due to a serious leg injury. Hamil also received a leg injury.
Alcohol ( DUI ) is suspected as a factor in the crash and this investigation in ongoing. Lake Havasu City Police Department assisted with the investigation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
