It was difficult to choose one photo to put up on this post. Dan O’Brien, Publisher of Cactus Thorns, has many great photos to choose from on his Facebook page.
Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Air Force, Cousin, Friend and Publisher of this blog, O’Brien is always quick to say he serves the Lord first.
On behalf of the readers of Cactus Thorns, I would like to wish you a very Happy Birthday today, March 1, 2013. While you and Fay are trying to recover from another upper respiratory flu bug, I hope you will find a moment to enjoy your special day together.
Remember, at our age, we do not drink, smoke, eat sugar products and avoid stressful situations…..well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
Thanks DanO for all your unpaid work 24/7 to keep Cactus Thorns up and running. It is a great community service providing a news forum and reporting the news of our Morongo Basin not covered by the local newspapers or radio.
A few Irish Birthday Wishes for ye…take yer pick:
As you slide down the banister of life may the splinters never point in the wrong direction.
May you live to be 100 years, with one extra year to repent.
We drink to your coffin. May it be built from the wood of a hundred year old oak tree that I shall plant tomorrow.
It is better to spend money like there’s no tomorrow than to spend tonight like there’s no money!
May you always have a clean shirt, a clear conscience, and enough coins in your pocket to buy a pint!
May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been,
The foresight to know where you are going,
And the insight to know when you have gone too far.
May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past
Wherever you go and whatever you do, may the luck of the Irish be there with you
May you have all the happiness
and luck that life can hold—
And at the end of all your rainbows
may you find a pot of gold.

Here is a picture post Algadones…..
Happy Birthday, Dan! and btw….did you have any problem with that “teethwork”…other than not being able to get back across the border, lol? They look great.
Going to Algadones was easy peasy….. Get your passport card and head on over the boarder…. Safe as going to Indio…. and they speak the same language too.
RU comfortable recommending a particular dentist as I have loads of friends who are considering this option?
…they speak English? that is better than going to Indio!
