Palms-N-Paws Animal Shelter will host its first Doggie Adoption Day on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at its facility at 7086 Bullion Avenue, one block south of Sullivan Road, in Twentynine Palms. The family-friendly event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is being co-sponsored by the VCA 29 Palms Animal Hospital in cooperation with the City of Twentynine Palms Animal Control Department.
The purpose of the all-day event is to save a life by adopting a pet! All adoptions on this day will include a first set of vaccines, a discount coupon for spay or neuter fees, and a HomeAgain microchip administered upon adoption of the pet. With every dog adoption on March 2, the VCA 29 Palms Animal Hospital will also provide the new family member with his or her second set of vaccination boosters for free.
Food, snacks, and beverages will be sold during the festivities, and all proceeds raised during the Doggie Adoption Day will go to the Palms-N-Paws Animal Shelter.
A dog and cat food drive will also be held during the adoption event. Bring a bag of pet food or pet canned food and enter to win a prize.
