Copper Mountain College Foundation is thrilled to announce they have partnered with Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District Foundation to present the 29th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 4th, beginning at 7 a.m. at the Desert Winds Golf Course aboard the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms.
Local superstar, Martie Avels is the tournament’s Honorary Chairperson. As the former Hi-Desert Medical Center’s Chief Nurse Executive, Martie Avels, worked diligently with Copper Mountain College to regain the RN program in the high desert. Today this collaborative effort prepares up to 32 potential nurses annually in the Morongo Basin. According to Avels, “This partnership exemplifies all that is good in our community, our hospital and our college, two fantastic institutions that we all can come out and support.”
This year’s Golf Tournament will be a one-day scramble to support both Copper Mountain College and Hi-Desert Medical Center. The entry fee is $75 and includes a round of 18-hole golf, cart, contest entries, prizes, continental breakfast, lunch, driving range play and admission to the Awards Dinner.
The Foundations are currently seeking sponsors as well as raffle prize donations. Sponsorships range from $100 to $5,000 and can be customized to your unique business needs. Sponsors may call 760-366-3791 ext 4200 for more details or visit www.cmccd.edu.
