Snow flurries dust the Yucca Valley area…

IMG-20130211-00255Yucca Valley, Ca.- A fierce Arctic storm was predicted to pass through our area bringing rain, snow and 45 mph winds.  Some residents living in Yucca Valley woke up this morning to a quiet calm with blue skies and a scant dusting of snow on the ground. Just a few days ago this desert community was enjoying warmer weather with the highs reaching a pleasant 62 degrees….living in the High Desert!

If you need to run out to do some errands, be careful. The snow will not be sticking when the sun comes out making for wet road conditions and perhaps some patches of “Black Ice.”

I have been told we are in the calm eye of this Arctic storm and the next blast is coming soon.

Bundle up and try to stay indoors until this storm system passes.
