On Sunday, February 17, 2013, at approximately 0152 hours, Thomas Leonard Perez 25 years old, came to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’ s Station to turn himself in for engaging in sexual acts with a five year old female relative.
The most recent incident occurred on the evening of February 16, 2013 at the child’s home in the 58000 block of Navajo Trail, Yucca Valley, Ca.
The act was interrupted and witnessed by the five victim’s mother.
A relative drove Perez to the sheriff’s station where he surrendered himself to deputies.
Evidence uncovered during the investigation confirmed that Perez had molested the victim.
Perez was booked at the Moronogo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
