San Jacinto, CA- On Friday, February 15, 2013 at about 10:00 PM officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Janessa Ct. in San Jacinto regarding a burglary that had just occurred. Unknown person(s) had entered the residence, taken property and a vehicle during the burglary.
On Saturday February 16, 2013 at about 5:00 AM, a sergeant from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station saw the stolen vehicle that was taken during the burglary. The vehicle was occupied by three Hispanic males and was seen in the area of Park Ave. and Columbia St. in the unincorporated area of Hemet. The sergeant attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle and a short pursuit ensued. The stolen vehicle became disabled and all three suspects fled from the vehicle on foot.
Two of the suspects were apprehended and one was able to elude capture. Most of the property stolen during the burglary was recovered from inside the stolen vehicle. The outstanding suspect is described as a Hispanic male between fifteen and twenty years old, wearing all dark clothing.
The two suspects arrested were identified as Hispanic males both sixteen years old from San Jacinto. They were charged with residential burglary, possession of stolen property and vehicle theft. One of the juveniles was also charged with violation of probation. The juveniles were booked into Juvenile Hall.
The recovered vehicle and property were released back to the victim.
The San Jacinto Police Department has “Zero Tolerance” toward criminal activity and will be vigilant in investigating all crimes.
